Time to breath

Much is said about fine wines, and aged spirits. Both are given time to improve, to mature, and then are enjoyed at a prime. It is therefore a pity that we still continue to ignore a simple principle when forming a strategic body – we must give it time to bed down and take root.

The MTV generation is flitting, twittering away, moving from one point to another. Fear and mindless following of procedure just move us from one thing to another without deliberation. I pose that it is better to take stock of a situation and let things improve before moving on or changing things. Far too many changes counteract the growth of persons, teams and processes.

Yes the environment around us is in flux, but it is sometimes better to reflect this with tiny organism like changes. Not radical structural ones.
